Captain Yoyo was a phenomenal guide who made the ride fun for everyone. The ride passes the iconic Glico Man which is a nice photo spot – if you want to get that night shot you’ll have to choose a later time slot!
Not a bad activity while in Dotonbori. Book your time early as most ppl will go for the night cruise. Went at noon to get a 2015hr slot. Guide only in Japanese but the sights along it were brilliant.

For Osaka Amazing Pass holder, redeem the ticket in advance. We redeemed ours in the late afternoon for the night cruise. Else you may need to wait longer. Ticket counter is outside Donki.

This river cruise is recommended! You should board it at 19.00+ though, since that is the time when the whole lampion lit up, and you can enjoy loads of city lights! Book earlier or else you will miss the chance to ride them, we booked at 15.00 and only 19.15 remains everything else from 19.00-20.00 have sold out, we consider ourself lucky. There's a very kind tour guide on board explaining history of the whole place, and warns you to refrain yourself from touching below the bridge or duck when you could possibly has your head bang into the bridge for your own safety. This boat tour worth every ¥ of it! You should try even after you had it, it gets addictive. Around the vicinity there are various food to enjoy too like Takoyaki, Ichiran, and some street snacks you will love.
